The report ‘Investing in Infrastructure: Financial Instruments and Sustainability’, on the other hand, identifies existing opportunities and puts forward proposals for mobilising private capital to invest in infrastructure, mobility systems and urban regeneration with a view to sustainable development. The two Commissions, coordinated respectively by Professors Carlo Carraro – Professor of Environmental Economics at Ca’ Foscari University in Venice, and Fabio Pammolli – Professor of Economics and Management at the Milan Polytechnic – have involved dozens of national and international experts, drawing up innovative proposals and contributing to the definition of the new strategy for sustainable infrastructure and mobility launched by Minister Giovannini in line with the European Green Deal and the objectives of the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
