POSITION SUMMARY

Grimaldi Alliance is a frequent contractor of projects at the European level for the European Commission and other EU institutions for the implementation of European regulatory norms in the 27 Member States and advises corporations on those high-end and fast developing topics. For this reason, Grimaldi Alliance is looking for a Project Manager specialized in European projects, ideally with several years of professional experience in project coordination and management and proposal writing, writing methodological and financial sections, as well as supporting project implementation (organizing work plans, meetings and providing high quality inputs). In addition, experience in bidding and FW and managing projects involving multiple countries and stakeholders is required.

As well as having good knowledge and understanding of the functioning of EU institutions and key EU policies, the ideal candidate is also business-minded, with a solid grasp of the market and an enthusiasm for meeting of current regulatory challenges for the EU in the areas of competition, energy transition, climate change and environmental pollution, transport, human rights, among others.

Exceptional attention to detail, organisation, multi-tasking and time management will be major assets. Regularly working in large, international and multidisciplinary teams, you should also demonstrate a collaborative approach and an ease interacting with a wide range of legal and business professionals as well as leading Junior colleagues. Proactive and self-motivated, you should be eager to take ownership of your work product and demonstrate the skill, talent and commitment to deliver outstanding results.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • A university degree in European studies, international relations, law, political science or related fields. A good knowledge of EU regulatory law would be an asset.
  • Experience overseeing project cycle management and preparing proposals in response to calls, preferably related to topics of EU law.
  • Experience in drafting project proposals, technical and administrative assistance, support to project implementation (organizing workshops, producing technical documents).
  • Knowledge of the European bidding and funding framework and the main programs at EU and national level (Example: NextGenerationEU and Recovery Plan, Horizon Europe, Innovation Fund, etc.).
  • Good coordination and training skills for younger professionals.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the functioning of EU institutions and key EU policies.
  • Business development and networking attitude and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency level in English. Knowledge of other EU-spoken languages is a plus.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

You will be part of the Brussels Business Development Team, regularly assisting EU Institutions and Agencies in shaping future European legislation as well as in the proper implementation of existing European regulations, at national level in all 27 Member States. Your main duties will be:

  • Drafting proposals for EU projects and studies in different fields of EU Law.
  • Coordinating the Project Development Team.
  • Attending meetings with the EC and other external stakeholders.
  • Supporting in the implement of awarded studies.
  • Supporting consortium building and finding potential partners where needed.
  • Managing junior figures and graduates as a part of the team.
