ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE AMOUNT OF THE SPECIAL CONTRIBUTION PROVIDED FOR UNDER THE LAW ON PROTECTION OF SOCIAL SECURITY PENSIONS AGAINST THE IMPERIALIST BLOCKADE

In Official Gazette No. 42.880 dated May 16, 2024, Decree No. 4.952 (the ‘Decree’) of the same date was published, whereby the amount of the special contribution provided for in the Law for the Protection of Social Security Pensions against the Imperialist Blockade (the ‘Law’) was set at nine per cent (9%) of the total payments made by the contributor to the workers, in accordance with the aforementioned Law.

The Decree also exempted enterprises duly registered with the National Registry of Enterprises (Registro Nacional de Emprendimientos – RNE) from the aforementioned payment. The maximum duration of the exoneration benefit established in the Decree will be one (1) year, counted from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

The Decree entered into force as of its publication in the Official Gazette.
