Giovanni Sabatini holds the position of senior advisor. He leads the practice areas of Banking, Regulatory Affairs, and Financial Services. He provides high-level strategic advice on managing relationships with Italian and European institutions across the banking, financial, and insurance sectors. His career is marked by a long-standing commitment to strengthening the Italian banking system and promoting cooperation at the European level, with a strong focus on regulatory frameworks, governance, and the sustainable development of the financial industry. Since 2009, he has served as Director General of the Italian Banking Association (ABI), and from January 1, 2016, he has also held the position of Chair of the Executive Committee of the European Banking Federation. He currently serves as Chairman of the Bancomat Consortium.
Giovanni has authored numerous publications on financial regulation and capital markets, and has been featured in interviews across major national and international newspapers and journals.
